Bill Leslie Continues to Shine in NC

Born in Morganton, Bill Leslie is an accomplished journalist, musician and one of NC’s most beloved television personalities.

For the last 37 years, he has been a part of the Capitol Broadcasting team. Many statewide see him anchoring WRAL’s morning/noon newscasts. One of his favorite assignments, the Tarheel Traveler, afforded him the ability to travel the state telling stories of interest from Murphy to Manteo.

When asked what’s next, he said that he has always wanted to dig deeper into the dialects that make up our diverse state as he defines them: Mountain, Ocracoke, Country Club and Country Store.
