100 New Jobs Coming to Anson County

by

Hornwood Inc., a 70-year-old North Carolina textile company, and Kingwhale Corp., a Taiwanese textile company, joined forces to create King Charles Industries. Lilesville-based Hornwood makes products for automotive, apparel and medical industries.

Newly created King Charles Industries will invest $12.5 million on a manufacturing plant in Anson County with $2.8 million annual payroll for 100 new jobs over the next three years.

This was made possible in part by a $300,000 grant from One North Carolina Fund, which provides local government financial support for projects thought to stimulate the local economy and create jobs.
