One North Carolina Small Business Program awarded $1.7 million in grants to 29 startup and emerging companies from 13 communities. The funds are awarded to companies that receive federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer awards.
The majority of the grant funds were awarded to life-science companies.
The Office of Science, Technology & Innovation is accepting grant applications for fiscal year 2017. Eligible applicants must receive federal grants between July 1, 2016, and June 30, 2017. The program awards funds on a first-come, first-serve basis. Follow this link for more information and apply.
