Children’s Home Society will receive financial support from the Duke Endowment throughout the next four years. As a longtime ally of the Children’s Home Society, the Endowment bestowed a $3.7 million grant that will help expand services and battle the foster care crisis in NC.
“Last year, we were able to place only 12 percent of the children referred to us,” said Brian Maness, President of Children’s Home Society of NC. “A child without a family is unacceptable.”
The organization hopes to increase public awareness of the state’s foster care crisis and expand capacity of adoptive and foster homes.
