North Carolina Positioned to Lead Data Economy

by Michael Polzella

Prominent North Carolina companies (SAS, IBM, Red Hat), leading programs at state universities, and a large qualified workforce (140,000 data professionals) combine to comprise reasons why North Carolina is set to propel to the top of the data economy.

In a recent report published by the North Carolina Board of Science, Technology & Innovation, findings show our state has an abundance of assets and advantages for companies that rely on data manipulation to support their daily operations.

The report suggests that in order to keep excelling, North Carolina leaders need to focus efforts on connecting and branding our data assets.
