Raleigh-based Bandwidth, Inc. hopes to raise $85 million in an initial public offering, according to recently filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Bandwidth offers a cloud-based communications platform with a full suite of voice, messaging and 9-1-1 APIs. Founded in 1999 from a home office, Bandwith has been viewed for years as one of the Triangle’s more notable success stories. With headquarters on the Centennial Campus of NC State, the company has 300 plus employees serving more than 800 customers.
In the first six months of 2017, Bandwidth had sales of $79.2 million.
