When it comes to IT training, try e-learning

E-learning is a top choice for companies training employees. In fact, 50 to 70 percent of costs can be saved by switching from instructor-based learning to e-learning. It has also proven to be more effective for knowledge retention, showing an increase of 25 to 60 percent.

When employers pay for training, most of the cost goes toward paying instructors to travel. A weeklong seminar at $2,500 per person for 10 people plus airfare, hotels, etc., can cost around $45,000. An e-learning-based solution for the same course can cost as little as $5,000.
