NC State alum makes business out of unused clothing

by

An NC State alum is turning her passion for sustainability into a viable business. While a student, Emily Neville, had the idea to transform unused clothing into something useful.

This idea eventually led to the creation of Reborn Clothing Co., which transforms old garments into items like blankets, bandanas, travel bags or golf head covers.

Neville tells WRAL that about 80 percent of her current business is done for universities and corporations. In fact, an early order came from her alma mater, which had an overflow of unused event shirts that could not be thrown away due to patent laws.
