CARING for Children meets the needs of community’s most vulnerable

by The 100 Companies

When neglected and abused children are removed from their homes, they need somewhere to go. Meeting this need with emergency shelter for children and youth was the initial vision of CARING for Children when it began in 1975.

For almost 50 years, CARING for Children has met the needs of vulnerable children and families in North Carolina. Since its inception, the organization has expanded from its roots of emergency shelter to include in-home support services, respite scholarships offering breaks to caregivers, foster care and therapeutic foster care.
