African American Cultural Festival

The African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County is an annual celebration of art, culture, food, music and dance held Labor Day weekend.

Now in its 10th year, the communitywide festival attracts nearly 40,000 people over the two-day event. Festivalgoers can explore the Art Gallery Walk, browse the vendor marketplace, enjoy interactive family activities, sample a variety of food and see music and dance performances.

The festival costs nothing to attend and will be held on Fayetteville Street, from Martin Street to City Plaza in Raleigh. The event runs Aug. 31, from 11AM-10PM, and Sept. 1, from 1-10PM.
