Billed as North Carolina’s musical treasure, the Eastern Music Festival brings the best music and most gifted artists and students to Greensboro every summer.
Established by Sheldon Morgenstern in 1961 as a summer music camp on the campus of Guilford College, EMF now encompasses five weeks of classical music classes and performances throughout the city.
Musical Director Gerard Schwarz has assembled a prestigious faculty and lined up performances from late June through the month of July. Guest artists for 2016 include Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Awadagin Pratt, Cynthia Phelps, Marco Núñez and James Ehnes. Find out more at easternmusicfestival.org.
