NC State University Brings Home an Emmy Award

by

NC State University’s Counseling Center teamed up with StoryDriven to create a suicide awareness documentary that recently won the Emmy’s Public Affairs award. “#StopTheStigma” is a video of three brave NCSU students telling their stories of suicide and how they turned their lives around.

The project was designed to inspire others to speak out and seek help. By being honest about their experiences, the students hoped to help end the stigma and encourage these difficult conversations.

Bryce McNabb, project editor, said, “We hope this video continues to spread and do what it was designed to do: help people choose life.”
