The annual Buggy Festival in Carthage honors the Tyson and Jones Buggy factory that produced carriages from the mid-1800s to the 1920s. The festival attracts approximately 20,000 visitors every year to this town, located eight miles north of Pinehurst.

On Saturday, May 12, the Buggy Festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary. In addition to more than 125 food and craft vendors surrounding the historic courthouse, the Buggy Festival will feature a variety of entertainment, including bands playing country, pop, rock and gospel music.

That’s not all. The festival also includes displays of classic buggies, tractors and antique cars.
