Former owners of Scully’s Bar and Grille in Downtown Asheville, Paige and Danny Scully, are soon opening Mountain Madre Mexican Kitchen & Agave Bar in its place.
After the close of Scully’s last July, the couple has been busy renovating the space and assembling staff for their new restaurant. Mountain Madre will be open daily, 11AM-11PM, at 13 Walnut Street. Menu items will be inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and will feature an occasional Appalachian twist. The bar will include craft tequila and mescal flights, margaritas and other cocktails.
