Nestled into a quaint yellow building with colorful backyard seating in West Asheville lies OWL (Owl World Levain) Bakery, an artisan bakeshop specializing in naturally leavened breads and European-inspired pastries.
OWL was brought to life by Susannah Gebhart, who was initially inspired by a fourth-generation baker of Spanish and Italian descent. Her passion for baking grew stronger with her food anthropology degree, international travel, and her experience in the kitchen and garden.
All of its products are handmade with the highest-quality organic and local ingredients. The storefront bakery and coffee shop is located at 295 Haywood Road.
