A Place at the Table, a pay-what-you-can cafe in downtown Raleigh, will be getting well-deserved national attention this month on NBC’s “Today” show during the week of Thanksgiving.
Located at 300 W. Hargett St., the cafe opened its doors just last January and serves breakfast and lunch six days a week. Guests have the option to pay the suggested menu price, pay at least half the suggested price or volunteer for a meal.
There is also an opportunity for diners to pay it forward by making a donation to purchase meal tokens for those in need.
