Good grub: A Place at the Table to expand

by

Diners in downtown Raleigh have a huge appetite for eating well and doing good. Need proof? A little over a year after opening, A Place at the Table, the pay-what-you-can cafe, is expanding to meet the demand.

The cafe will take over space next door to its current Hargett Street location, allowing it to add more indoor and outdoor seating, a larger kitchen and an expanded menu. There’s no word on a date for the expansion.

The unique cafe model allows diners to pay for the full cost of their meal or only what they can afford.
