Did Your City Make the List?

Several entities rank cities to see which are safest. Among them, Safewise reviewed the most recent FBI Crime Report statistics from 2015, along with population data.

Alarms.org, the official website of the National Council for Home Safety and Security, recently ranked the top 50 safest cities in NC. The list is compiled based on three key criteria: average population, violent crime rate per 1,000 people, and property crime rate per 1,000 people.

Both sources count the following among the safest:

• Pinehurst

• Waxhaw

• Holly Springs

• Havelock

• Stallings

• Davidson

• Cary

• Black Mountain

• Woodfin

• Wendell
