The lights on your dashboard are indicators to alert you of an issue with your vehicle that shouldn’t be ignored. Here are the four most common dashboard lights.

• The battery light indicates your battery is in poor condition. This could be the battery itself, the alternator or frayed wiring.

• The temperature warning shows your engine has overheated, probably due to a coolant leak.

• The oil pressure light means there isn’t enough oil in your vehicle or the oil pump can’t circulate enough oil.

• The ABS light could be defective wiring, wheel speed sensor faults, low brake fluid or pump failure.
