Queen City Moves up on Best Places to Live Ranking

by

Charlotte was ranked No. 14 of the best places to live by U.S. News & World Report, a spot up from last year’s results. Raleigh-Durham placed ahead at No. 7, down three spots from the 2016 rankings.

The rankings were based on an analysis of desirability, job market, value and quality of life. Quality of life accounted for 30% of Charlotte’s score, value at 25%, job market at 20%, desirability at 15% and net migration at 10%.

Charlotte has evolved significantly over the past year, and the booming city is predicted to have another year of steady economic growth.
