The Lakewood, a full-service restaurant and rooftop bar, just opened on Chapel Hill Road in Durham, North Carolina.
The menu items are ingredient-focused and inspired by locally sourced items from farmers and producers that owner, baker and pastry chef Phoebe Lawless works with as the owner of another operation: Scratch Bakery.
“It’s not driven by any type of cuisine,” Lawless told the Herald-Sun. “Delicious is our motivation.”
For now, the Lakewood restaurant will serve dinner, and the rooftop bar will serve drinks. In the future, brunch may also be served as well as food on the rooftop.
