Allan Head, executive director of the North Carolina Bar Association and former Wake Forest hurdler, was honored with the Pete Moffitt Courage Award from Wake Forest University. This award is given to a former athlete, coach or student who has demonstrated courage. As Allan faces stage 4 cancer, he aims to encourage others and help them on their journey.
Allan is proud that the NC Bar Association is a member-driven rather than staff-driven organization. For associations to be successful, they must provide meaningful opportunities for volunteers to be actively involved, and his job has been to support them.
