With college tuition costs continuing to rise, Asheville’s Warren Wilson College is looking to ease this burden for North Carolina families.

Lynn Morton, Warren Wilson’s president, announced that the school will cover the cost of tuition for all in-state students eligible for federal or state aid. Furthermore, the school announced the Milepost One program, awarding full-tuition scholarships to 25 students whose family income levels are equal to or below $125,000.

Morton tells the Citizen-Times that the program is for students “stuck in the middle” who eventually get to a point where they can’t pay loans back.
