North Carolina Lands Top Spot in the Region for Attracting New Business

With 289 new and qualifying projects announced in 2016, North Carolina comes in first in the South Atlantic region and fourth in national rankings for attracting new business, according to the latest list from Site Selection magazine.

To be recognized as a qualifying project, it must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Have $1 million or more in investment

• Create 20+ new jobs

• Add at least 20,000 square feet of new space

North Carolina ranks among the most favorable business climates in the US, including ranking No. 2 in Forbes 11th annual Best States for Business.
