Weaver Street Market coming to downtown Raleigh

by Michael Polzella

Carrboro’s Weaver Street Market is bringing its co-op market concept, which focuses on sustaining healthy communities, to downtown Raleigh.

Weaver Street will move into a street-level space in the mixed-use high-rise The Dillon, and expects this to happen in the summer of 2018. The co-op was founded in Carrboro in 1998 and has additional locations in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough.

“We are thrilled to bring the co-op concept to downtown Raleigh,” founder Ruffin Slater told The News & Observer. “It’s such an exciting and vibrant place, and we think we can be part of that.”
