Email inbox

How many times have you clicked or read an email just to get that unread number to zero? You just wasted a microdecision on opening an email, reading it, and not doing anything with it.

The OHIO method means “Only Handle It Once” – a time-saving hack to help manage being overwhelmed by email.

If you can tell by the subject line you won’t be able to address an email immediately, don’t open it. If you aren’t able to provide a thoughtful response, or it’s a task that you need to do later, postpone opening the email until you’re ready.
