We already know Raleigh is full of happy workers, and it turns out the good feelings stretch across the state. Recent job numbers show North Carolina’s unemployment rate remains unchanged, while the national unemployment rate increased.
In December 2018, North Carolina’s unemployment rate held steady at 3.6 percent. The national unemployment rate grew to 3.9 percent, an increase of 0.2 percentage points. Since December 2017, the North Carolina Department of Commerce also showed private sector employment growth and an increase in the total number of non-farm jobs.
