‘May the Fourth be with you’ for a family-friendly day in Cary

by Sally Schroder

On May 4, in honor of the beloved “Star Wars” holiday, families don’t have to head to a galaxy far, far away. They can just head to Downtown Cary Park instead, where they’ll find character appearances, crafts, trivia, live shows and more.

In previous years, this event brought out tons of family-friendly fun, including a dog costume contest, pet pictures, Jedi training for young Padawans, choreographed stage battles and a silent disco. Guests are invited to go all out in their best “Star Wars” gear in honor of the celebration.

The event is expected to run from noon-7 p.m.
