Newland Communities Saves Residents Nearly $1 Million

by

Wendell Falls and Briar Chapel by Newland Communities, the two largest green communities in the Triangle, prove that going green makes a difference.

At inception, these communities instituted rigorous third-party-certified building programs, the National Green Building Standard (NGBS) and ecoSelect, to create homes that are approximately 25% more efficient. Their efforts have yielded almost $1 million in energy-bill savings and offset more than 13.3 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

As part of Newland’s commitment to sustainability, residents also can enjoy healthier, more active lives encouraged by parks, trails and a vibrant calendar of community activities.
