Asheville, a city located in Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is well known for its vibrant arts scene and historic architecture.
Several high-end travel agents shared with Forbes what they believe are the coolest places to go in 2018, and Asheville made the top 15 among international destinations, including Cambodia, Bolivia, Tasmania, Faroe Islands, Egypt and Northern Brazil.
“It’s no secret that America’s southern cities are having a moment,” Melissa Biggs Bradley told Forbes. “Asheville has a character that is at once hipster and classic Americana.”
While there, shop the works of local artisans and enjoy tasteful cuisine.
