Take to the sky at Jockey’s Ridge State Park

by The 100 Companies

Over in the Outer Banks in Dare County, youll discover the tallest living sand dune system on the Atlantic coast at Jockeys Ridge State Park. While you can hike on these dunes to get an incredible view of the sunset or fly a kite, theres one activity that you cant miss.

Kitty Hawk Kites offers hang-gliding lessons. When you take a beginner lesson, youll learn the ropes of taking to the skies during ground school. Then, youll head to the dunes and launch directly into the wind, lifting you up into the air to soar for five solo hang-gliding flights.
