The Home of Dirty Dancing

by

Western North Carolina goes Dirty Dancing once again for the set of the 1980s remake of the classic by ABC.

The iconic movie was originally filmed at Lake Lure, but the remake takes center stage in Cashiers at the High Hampton Inn and Country Club. Visiting the High Hampton Inn will transport you back to the Kellermans Resort in the summer of 1963, watching Johnny Castle and Francis “Baby” Houseman arguing in the lodge, dancing on the docks and practicing leg lifts in the lake.

The Dirty Dancing remake will be a three-hour special aired on ABC this fall.
