Camping in the North Carolina mountains

This time of year reminds me of camping trips I used to take with my father.

We enjoyed nature all around the state, but nothing beat the breathtaking views and adventure offered by the North Carolina mountains. Just south of Blowing Rock on the Blue Ridge Parkway is Price Lake. From the water to the woods, everything we needed for a great father-son trip was right outside our tent. Fishing and cooking on a seasoned iron skillet over the campfire is a cherished memory.

It is one of many great memories you can make along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
