AvidXchange, a company that automates invoices and payment processes for midmarket companies in numerous industries, plans to invest $41 million in Mecklenburg County. Officials said many new positions in software development, finance, marketing and professional services will be added. All in all, that’s at least 1,200 additional jobs for North Carolina.
AvidXchange’s expansion was made possible through a grant approved by the state’s Economic Investment Committee. The company plans to expand the parking deck at its current headquarters and make land improvements to the area over the next 24 months, before starting construction on a new six-story building.
