ABC+P = Success

Communities In Schools developed the ABC+P success formula: attendance, behavior, coursework and parent/family engagement. The organization works throughout NC inside 300 public schools, customizing plans for students with the highest drop-out trajectory.

Is the program working? According to research shared by Jill Cox, CISNC’s interim executive director, “High school students served by CIS drop out at a rate that is half that of high school students across NC. Student outcomes, validated by RTI International, show that 2.29 percent of students drop out of school versus 1.18 percent of students served by CISNC.”
