German grocery retailer Lidl has more than 10,000 stores worldwide, and now they are coming to North Carolina. On June 15, five 20,000-square-foot Lidl stores will open in Greenville, Rocky Mount, Sanford, Kinston and Winston-Salem.
The grand-opening celebrations last four days and include the first 100 customers to arrive at each store having a chance to win up to $100 in Lidl gift cards.
Additional stores are planned for Wilson and Wake Forest.
Lidl’s motto is “high quality at low prices, delivered with outstanding customer service,” and shoppers describe it as similar to Aldi.
