Here’s where to find King Cake in Charlotte

King Cake is a Mardi Gras tradition. Part coffee cake and part cinnamon bun, this treat is typically covered in gold, green and purple icing.

King Cake orders typically fill up at bakeries quickly. But if you’re hoping for a last-minute King Cake, here are two places you can still visit in the Charlotte area to get in the Carnival spirit:

•  Manolo’s Bakery: Located in Windsor Park, enjoy King Cake and Rosca de Reyes, a Latin version of the dessert.

• Suárez Bakery: A limited quantity of King Cakes will be sold in-store Feb. 28 and March 1 at both locations.
