We love our state fruit, and those scuppernong grapes will soon be falling-off-the-vine ripe, so plan your local vineyard pickings – just don’t eat many straight off the trees, or you won’t have enough for recipe experimentation.

You picked up wine at the vineyard, right? Dutch oven drunken chicken is a sure bet, or throw tilapia with wine and salsa on the grill. This roast carrot salad is a perfect side for either.
