If you’re thinking about becoming a first-time homebuyer in Raleigh, you’re in one of the best cities in the country for people looking to break into the housing market.
According to a study from Bankrate.com, the Raleigh metro is the second-best place in the country for first-time homebuyers. The rankings were based on 13 measures, including affordability and housing supply.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, nabbed the No. 1 spot, with Oklahoma City, Hartford, Connecticut, and St. Louis rounding out the top five. Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, at No. 17, was the only other North Carolina metro to make it.
