Ski in NC’s snowiest town

With the recent snow hitting North Carolina, Beech Mountain Ski Resort is a statewide destination for winter sports.

Beech Mountain just happens to be the state’s snowiest town, stretching across Avery and Watauga counties. With its elevation of 5,506 above sea level, the mountain is marked as Eastern North America’s highest town and ski resort.

At the resort, experience day and night skiing and snowboarding, Beech Mountain Brewery, freestyling in the terrain park, tubing, ice skating, sky bar, restaurants, shuttles and more. During the summer, the mountain offers mountain biking, disc golf, scenic lift rides and outdoor yoga activities.
