Airbnb introduced “experiences” as an extension of its rental-booking business. According to airbnbcitizen.com, “Experiences include things like immersive experiences for travelers, from a podcast-production lesson in Chicago, to honey making in Malibu and a bike tour through Los Angeles with a landscape architect. The options are never-ending.”
The company plans to add 200 U.S. cities to the 50 cities across the globe that offer experiences for travelers. In fact, Airbnb has announced a plan to invest $5 million in the U.S. to develop, support and promote local entrepreneurs who benefit from Airbnb experience business.
