Don’t worry, be wary

When people gather to watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset, they often grow silent, watching the miracle respectfully as another day is dedicated. Moments later, they turn away, returning to their normal lives.

Following this pandemic pause, when we all return to familiar paths, will we really return to normal, knowing some souls have departed and businesses closed? After rejoicing, will we stay humbled?

Will we really absorb lessons this time: wash hands, don’t touch faces, appreciate family, value life, respect nature? Will we capitulate, bowing to the ultimate precept: This is God’s world?

He’s in control. Let’s revere Him.
