It’s summertime, and it’s hot. Be mindful that as outside temperatures rise, it only takes a few minutes for the inside of a vehicle to become 30 degrees warmer than the temperature outside.
Be safe. Never leave these in a hot vehicle:
1. Children, babies, elderly, the unhealthy
2. Pets: In 2013, a law passed allowing rescuers to break in to save pets in overheating vehicles.
3. Medications: Medications may lose effectiveness.
4. Bottled water: The FDA states bottled water is within the safety margin. But if the seal is broken, bacteria can grow.
5. Electronics: Extreme heat damages electronics.
