PR doesn’t stand for press release

by
public relations

Pitching the media doesn’t simply involve sending a press release. Some say the press release is dead, and we have one practitioner who presents a topic to business groups entitled “The Press Release is Evil.”

In a recent study by Muck Rack, only three percent of journalists reported they rely on them heavily for finding story ideas. Forty-nine percent say they don’t rely on them at all. Sixty-six percent said they would rely on them more if they had an infographic, video component or VR/AR components.

Always hire a reputable agency to conduct your earned-media strategy.
