Experience World War I in North Carolina

by Michael Polzella

The North Carolina Museum of History welcomes a new, interactive multimedia exhibit, North Carolina and World War I. This exhibit focuses on the state’s role in WWI and is meant to commemorate the US entry into the war.

The exhibit, opening on Saturday, April 8, is 6,500 square feet and has an estimated 500 artifacts on display. There will be historical film footage, period photography, interactive aspects, video reenactments and a recreated trench-warfare environment.

North Carolina and World War I attempts to give visitors the chance to experience what life was like for our soldiers 100 years ago.
