Folk Art Show highlights self-taught artists

by Michael Polzella
A small village in North Carolina

The 16th annual Folk Art Show at Fearrington Village, just south of Chapel Hill, celebrates the work of self-taught artists influenced by the spirit of folk art, naïve art, primitivism and outsider art. This year’s show will take place February 24-25, with a special reservation-only Collector’s Preview happening February 23.

Attendees can see a “barn full to the rafters” of whimsical paintings, sculptures, pottery and other art. All sales will benefit the artists directly, with no commissions taken by the organizers.

Entry is $5 at the door, and tickets for the Preview are available for $35.
