Triad Schools Receive $46K in Grants

by

The High Point Community Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to strengthening the community for present and future generations, made grants to two Triad schools totaling more than $46,000.

Guilford County School system’s Union Hill Elementary and Oak View Elementary are the recipients. Union Hill Elementary plans to launch an accelerated reader program using 30 laptop computers, books, incentives and other materials to be purchased with the grant funds. Grant funds make it possible for Oak View to purchase interactive classroom projectors.

The High Point Community Foundation has granted over $43 million to nonprofit organizations, schools and municipalities since 1998.
