Race cars go up to 200 miles an hour during NASCAR events, but you’ll want to take it slow when you drive on Charlotte Motor Speedway during the annual Speedway Christmas. Travel on the legendary 3.75-mile track and view four million holiday lights synchronized to Christmas-themed music nightly through Jan. 7 from 6-10 p.m.
Visit on Thursday through Sunday and there’s even more Christmas magic. Watch classic Christmas movies on a giant 16,000-square-foot TV and visit the Christmas Village where you’ll find Santa’s workshop, carnival rides, fire pits and concession stands.
