WGU North Carolina Chancellor Catherine Truitt announced nine prominent leaders in business, education, health care and other key growth areas for North Carolina have joined the nonprofit university’s Advisory Board.
Board members, including former Gov. Beverly Perdue, will help support WGU NC’s mission to expand access to higher education.
“According to the World Economic Forum, we’re in a world where 65 percent of today’s students will work in jobs that don’t exist today,” said Perdue. “WGU North Carolina’s competency-based, online model of learning pushes the boundaries of traditional post-secondary education, giving options to prepare and retool our future.”
