Promising Pages strives to put books in the hands of every child in Charlotte

by The 100 Companies

As the giving season kicks off with Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29, Promising Pages is seeking donations to help end Charlotte’s book desert. With an estimated 60,000 children in Charlotte living with few, if any, books, the nonprofit organization relies on the help of volunteers and donors to place books in the hands of under-resourced children.

Studies show that having books in the home directly impacts a child’s academic achievements and future career success, but home libraries are often seen as a luxury and aren’t always attainable.

Help Promising Pages put an end to Charlotte’s literacy gap this holiday season.
